  • Ice cream's origins are known to reach back as far as the second century B.C. Although no specific date of origin nor inventor has been indisputably credited with its discovery. As we know that Alexander the great enjoyed snow and the ice flavored with honey,nectar and so many things. Biblical references also show that king Solomon was found of ice drink during harvesting. During the Roman Empire Claudius Caesar (A.D. 54-86) frequently sent runners into the mountains for snow, which was then flavored with fruits and Juices.



  • An ice-cream-like food was first eaten in china in 618-97 AD. King Tang of Shang, had 94 ice cream men who helped to make a dish of buffalo milk , flour and camphor. A kind of ice- cream was invented in china about 200 B.C when a milk and rice mixture was frozen by packing it into snow .


  • Roman emperors are supposed to have sent slaves to mountain top to bring back fresh snow which was then flavoured and served as an early form of ice cream                                                                                                                                                                                                                  
  • Ice cream sundaes were invented when it became illegal to sell ice cream sodas on a sunday , In the America town of Evanston during the late 19th century. To get the problem some trade replaced the soda with syrup and called the desert an Ice cream sunday. They replaced the final "Y" with an "E" to avoid the upsetting religious leaders.

  •  Iranians acquainted to ice cream when Iranian King, Nasser-o-ddin Shah of Qajar, in his trip to Europe enjoyed French ice cream in Paris. The monarch expressed his wishes to introduce ice cream to Iran but he never could fulfill it. Later on, his successor, Mozaffar-o-ddin Shah, did introduce ice cream to the court only. Now, specialty ice cream store and unique restaurants that feature ice cream dishes have surged in popularity. these stores and restaurants are popular with those who remember the ice-cream shops and soda fountains of days past, as well ass with the new generations of ice cream fans

   Finally in 1851 ice cream entered mass production. Jacob Fussell a Pennsylvanian milk dealer, decided the demand for his product was too unstable. so, he opened an ice cream factory to make use of his unsold milk 
                                                                                                   the ice cream was used as morel for american troop in WWII. source ,  factory  was an instant success ,the mass production of ice cream suddenly made the treat more accessible to the lower classes. then in the late 1800s, the industrial revolution hit ! Advance in the refrigeration, steam power and automobiles finally made it possible for ice cream to be transported to and stored by the masses . In the 1930s , ice cream hit grocery store shelves and became a staple in american freezers the popularity of ice cream grew to the point where it was seen as a symbol of Americanism. so much so, that during the second world war serving ice cream to the troops became a source of moral
